Things You Need to Know About Towed Vehicles

Call Ahead of Time

Please call ahead of time to see if we have your vehicle on site and at what location. We can also confirm if we are in possession of it.

When Vehicles are Released

Vehicles will only be released during normal business hours. Our hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm EST. Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

2 Different Locations

We have 2 different lots vehicles may be stored at. Please contact us so we can advise on proper place and procedures.

What Form Of Payment?

For vehicles that have been towed to our location, the form of payment that will be accepted is CASH only. Please reach out with any questions.

Important Information if Your Vehicle Was Towed

We will only release the vehicle to the registered owner. Must have proof of registration and proper identification. If the registered owner is not able to pick up the vehicle in person, we need a notarized letter from the registered owner giving permission for a representative to pick up the vehicle. The letter must include the registered owner’s name, address, the phone number to be reached at, drivers license #, vehicle description including VIN #, the person picking the vehicle up including name, address, phone number and they must have proper identification and a copy of the title or registration.

Personal Property Release

Vehicles will only be released during normal office hours: M-F 8am-5pm
If the registered owner is sending a representative to collect personal property, a notarized letter and proper identification must be presented.
Personal property according to Wisconsin is "all property within the vehilce which is not mounted, attached or affixed to the vehicle"
Items that can be removed: CDs, clothes, garage door openers, umbrellas, groceries, etc.
Items that cannot be removed: license plates, battery, tires, radio, etc.

Definition of Important Terms

Proper Identification is a Valid Drivers License
Proof of Ownership is the Title or Current Registration of the Vehicle at our Facility
VIN# is the Vehicle Identification Number Consisting of 17 Digits
What is a Notary: this is a public officer that is used to deter fraud and to ensure proper execution. The notary makes sure that the signers are entering into an agreement knowingly and willingly. This is required if you have someone else designated to pick up your vehicle or possessions from either of our Towing Lots here in Merrill or Weston WI
