Rod and Diane Pichelman started the business in 1973, Rod’s Wrecker Service and Rod’s Repair. Continuing to add employees, trucks and an auto repair office servicing Merrill, WI and the surrounding area until May of 2004. In May of 2004 Wayne and Marion Lammert took over the repair office and small and medium duty wrecker business with secured storage and surveillance, changing the name to Rod’s Towing & Service LLC staying at W4066 County Road G, Merrill, WI. On March 1 of 2010 adding the Heavy duty wrecker to complete the full service wrecker side of the business while maintaining the full service auto repair side of the business.
In August of 2016 Mount View Towing, located at 906 RedTail Lane, Wausau, WI in the Rib Mountain area of Wausau was purchased by Rod’s Towing & Service LLC from Tim and Lois Murphy. Tim and Lois started the business in 1979 continuing to serve the Wausau Area until retiring in August of 2016. Keeping their phone number of 715-845-1149 a second location was opened on September 1, 2016 under Rod’s Towing & Service LLC staying at 909 RedTail Lane, Wausau,WI. In November of 2016 the operation was moved from Red Tail Lane in Rib Mountain to 5807 Prairie Street, Weston, WI 54476. This location has a secured storage lot and surveillance. Our towing services are second to none, and we take great pride in being able to provide the services you need- where you need them and when you need them. When your vehicle needs towing, you can count on Rod’s Towing & Service LLC to help you out.
